Taunton Market must remain closed for three months due to alleged non-compliance with licensing conditions, sales to underage children, illegal products, and drug dealing. Top Market is temporarily closed until a further hearing next week, with allegations including the sale of vapes to 12-year-old girls. Police initiated the closures after descending on the properties on Saturday, December 6th. While Taunton Market representatives did not oppose the closure order, Top Market argued that the residential property above the shop should remain open, but the magistrates imposed a temporary closure order.
