Glasgow vape shop company changes registered address
Summary
Junaid Retail Ltd, trading as Scot's World, which occupied a Glasgow vape shop where a fire occurred on Union Street, changed its registered address the day after being contacted by The Herald. The company, directed by Ali Ahsan, had previously failed to pay nearly £10,000 in business rates, with attempts to collect the debt proving unsuccessful. The Herald’s visit to the previous registered address in Hamilton yielded no information, and the address was subsequently changed to a location in Pollokshaws, Glasgow. Despite inquiries, the company’s directorship remains unchanged on Companies House, and conflicting reports have emerged regarding ownership, with individuals named Ajaz Sarwar and Arslan claiming involvement but lacking official records. The property was sold in August 2024 for £182,500.
