Singapore seizes over S$1.1m in vape products in largest bust since Sept 2025
Summary
The Health Sciences Authority (HSA) in Singapore seized over S$1.1 million (approximately RM3.37 million) worth of vaporizers and related components in an operation on February 24, 2026. Almost 67,000 vape products were confiscated, and a 29-year-old man was arrested for his suspected involvement in importing and distributing the products from a commercial warehouse in Mandai. Investigations are ongoing. These seizures mark the largest operation of its kind since September 2025. Starting May 1, 2026, Singapore will enforce stricter penalties under the Tobacco and Vaporisers Control Act (TVCA), including imprisonment and substantial fines for importers, suppliers, and premises owners who do not comply with the regulations.
