Gisborne vape sales crackdown: One-third of stores tested broke law
Summary
Compliance checks conducted in Gisborne last year revealed that approximately one-third of vape stores were in violation of regulations. Of the 18 stores tested through controlled purchase operations (CPO), four were found to have sold vaping products to individuals under the legal age, while three others failed for different reasons, including the sale of disposable vapes. These results indicate a significant issue with compliance among vape retailers in the region.
