Man ‘very vague’ about damaging car with vape in city centre street
Summary
Campbell Brett, 24, of Inverness, appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court and pleaded guilty to recklessly damaging a vehicle and breaching the peace. On April 28th of last year, witnesses observed Brett striking a car with his vape on Church Street, causing a “small scratch.” CCTV footage confirmed his presence, though the act of scratching wasn't clearly visible. In a separate incident on May 5th, Brett engaged in a struggle with a door steward at a Co-op store, attempting to put him in a headlock before police intervention. Defending, Natalie Paterson stated Brett’s actions regarding the car were “very vague” and he expressed remorse upon viewing the CCTV footage. Sheriff Eilidh Macdonald fined Brett £560.
