Drugs, vape, cash found during I-40 traffic stop in Carson County
Summary
On March 26th, a Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Trooper stopped a 2008 Chevrolet Suburban traveling east on I-40 near Conway, Texas, for a traffic violation. A DPS K-9 unit alerted to the vehicle, leading to a search that uncovered one pound of suspected MDMA, 20 grams of suspected marijuana, a THC-infused vape, and $2,400 in U.S. currency. The driver, Matthew Gililland, 45, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, was arrested and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and money laundering, as well as a misdemeanor charge for marijuana possession. Authorities believe the drugs were being transported from New Mexico to Oklahoma.
