Benjamin Song Yong Pang, a 38-year-old former SAF captain, is facing 26 charges including multiple counts of cheating and vape-related offenses. He allegedly duped individuals out of over $145,000, claiming the money was for investments or medical bills, but instead used it to pay debts. Between 2020 and 2023, Song is accused of possessing and distributing vaping products, including pods, vaporizers, and illegal heated tobacco products, at Nee Soon Camp. He was first charged in November 2025 and is expected to plead guilty on May 25th. MINDEF confirmed that Song is no longer a regular serviceman but did not disclose his branch or end of service date.
