S'porean man, 28, caught with vape & duty-unpaid cigarettes in M'sia taxi at Woodlands Checkpoint

On April 3rd, a 28-year-old Singaporean man was apprehended at Woodlands Checkpoint while attempting to bring 40 vapes and 26 packs of duty-unpaid cigarettes into Singapore via a Malaysia-registered taxi. The Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) conducted enhanced checks on the vehicle, which also contained a 70-year-old Malaysian driver and a 73-year-old passenger. The contraband was discovered in the Singaporean man’s haversack, leading to his arrest. The seized items have been handed over to Singapore Customs and the Health Sciences Authority for further investigation.
