The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO), through the Manila Police District's Special Mayor's Reaction Team (SMaRT), conducted an intelligence-driven operation on Delpan Street in Tondo, Manila. The operation resulted in the arrest of two 29-year-old vendors who were selling unregulated electronic cigarette products without the necessary permits, violating Republic Act No. 11900, also known as the Vaporized Nicotine and Non-Nicotine Products Regulation Act. Police seized various vape pods, including XBLACK, DRIFT, XPHANTOM, and XPRIVE, with a total estimated value of P45,500. NCRPO regional director P/Brig. Gen. Anthony Aberin stated that such operations are critical for public health and consumer protection.
