The employee, who asked to be called Hassan, chased the man. The suspect grabbed Hassan's hand and refused to let go as he sped down the alley, dragging Hassan past one dumpster and hitting him with another. Hassan suffered a broken hip, cuts, and bruises all over his body. Surveillance video of the incident is now in the hands of Allen Park Police, who are investigating and collecting video from nearby businesses. The shop owner had warned employees not to chase thieves, but Hassan said he couldn't stand by while a crime happened in front of him. Hassan is unable to work while he recovers and said he wouldn't chase again, calling it a dumb decision. He hopes police will find the suspect.
