Selangor tops MyLapor complaints for smoking and vaping in no-smoking areas, with 358 reports since the system's launch.Summary
Since the launch of the MyLapor system on October 12, Selangor has recorded the highest number of complaints regarding smoking and vaping in no-smoking areas, with a total of 358 reports. Kuala Lumpur follows with 210 complaints, and Johor with 160. Most complaints were related to dining areas. As of 2pm on October 15, the system received 1,113 complaints in total, of which 471 were dismissed, 347 were new, 232 were under investigation, and 63 were being finalized. The health ministry also issued 216 summonses under the Smoking Products Control Act 2024 (Act 852).
