Research indicated that youth vaping rates in Bradford were 9% higher than the national average, prompting the campaign's development. The initiative features videos highlighting the negative effects of vaping, filmed at various locations throughout Bradford. Sue Duffy, chair of Bradford's Tobacco Control Alliance, expressed confidence that the campaign’s use of humor and connection to Bradford City FC will resonate with young people. The campaign was developed with input from over 700 young people in the district and will be displayed at Bradford City’s Valley Parade stadium on match days, running until the end of the season. The World Health Organization reports that at least 15 million children aged 13-15 used e-cigarettes in 2024, with children being nine times more likely to vape than adults.
