A 21-year-old man in Singapore is assisting authorities with investigations following the circulation of a video appearing to show him vaping on a bus. The video, initially posted on Instagram by Sgfollowsall on January 30th, quickly gained over 241,000 views, 2,700 likes, and 500 comments. The Health Sciences Authority (HSA) identified the man and seized e-vaporisers and 12 pods from his home on February 3rd. Singapore has strengthened penalties for vaping offenses since September 1st, with first-time offenders facing a $700 fine and repeat offenders potentially facing prosecution and fines up to $2,000.
