The Saugus Prevention Coalition is working to combat rising youth vaping rates, particularly at the town’s middle school. An upcoming vaping prevention night will be hosted by the Boys and Girls Club on February 26th, offering information on vaping facts, warning signs, and support resources for parents. The event will also function as an open house for parents to meet staff and learn about programs. Previously, the Students in Action group successfully led a similar vaping prevention presentation with role-playing activities to help students practice refusal skills, demonstrating a proactive, student-driven approach to the issue.
