2 Accused Of Illegal Cannabis Sales At Fairfield Smoke Shop: Police

Fairfield police have arrested two individuals connected to US 1 Vape and Smoke Convenience on charges related to illegal cannabis sales. The arrests stem from a November raid prompted by complaints of marijuana being sold to minors. Kowshik Sumanth Valavala, 25, of Mount Laurel, New Jersey, faces charges including selling cannabis without a license and illegally selling nicotine products to a minor, with a court date on February 20th. Hanif Yakub Vora, 44, of Fairfield, was charged with selling over a kilogram of cannabis and supplying cannabis without a license, and was released on a $25,000 bond, with a court date on February 17th. Earlier in 2025, the same shop was raided, and in December, two other Fairfield smoke shops were temporarily closed for labor violations, while another, Issam Plus, resulted in a misdemeanor summons for possession of marijuana with intent to sell.
