The UK is implementing new regulations for vaping products, with the Health and Medicines Regulatory Agency (HMRC) urging businesses to prepare. From April 2026, businesses involved in manufacturing, importing, or storing vaping products must register for Vaping Products Duty (VPD). A flat duty rate of £2.20 per 10ml will apply to all vaping liquids, regardless of nicotine content, starting October 1, 2026. Crucially, vaping duty stamps will become mandatory for all products on the market from April 1, 2027, with a six-month grace period for existing stock. Non-compliance will lead to penalties. HMRC is providing guidance and emphasizes the importance of early preparation to ensure a smooth transition.
