Six individuals were arrested by authorities in Las Piñas City during a buy-bust operation targeting the illegal manufacturing, sale, and distribution of unregistered vaporized nicotine and non-nicotine products. The operation, conducted by the Southern Police District (SPD) in coordination with the Department of Trade and Industry–Office for the Special Mandate on Vaporized Nicotine and Non-Nicotine Products (DTI-OSMV) and the Las Piñas City Police, took place at a residence in BF Resort Village. Investigators discovered numerous boxes of vape products, raw materials, filling and sealing machines, and other equipment indicating illegal manufacturing. The seized items, valued at under P1 million, were found to be unregistered and non-compliant with regulatory standards. Authorities also inspected a nearby establishment, recovering over P700,000 worth of unregistered products. The suspects are charged with violating Republic Act No. 11900 and Republic Act No. 7394, and the confiscated items are undergoing further analysis.
