Halle Harvey, 24, pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter after fatally shooting her 30-year-old housemate in Riverside, Ohio, on January 17, 2025. According to the Montgomery County Prosecutor's Office, police responded to a 911 call and found the victim with a single gunshot wound to the head in the basement of the residence. Investigators determined that Harvey and the victim had been arguing and physically fighting before Harvey retrieved a 9mm handgun and shot the victim. Harvey was observed with cuts and scratches during her arrest and reportedly asked officers if she could vape and if she would receive a life sentence. She was scheduled to be sentenced on January 26th as part of a plea deal.
