West Valley High School has implemented a new bathroom policy aimed at curbing vaping and other inappropriate behavior. The policy, enacted in 2026, limits the number of open bathrooms and stations school personnel outside to monitor students. Principal Mark Winford reported a 96% decrease in vape sensor detections over the first eight days of implementation and expressed optimism about continuing this positive trend. The policy also aims to reduce student congregation and “general naughtiness” within the school.
